Flooring

They started installing the flooring.  Yesterday they started with the tile in the upstairs bathrooms and the laundry room.  Since the water is yet to be turned on, they will come back to grout, which they said will only take a couple of hours.  Today they started the laminate wood floor on the main floor in the kitchen/dining area, and from the entry to the half bath.  They should just have a little to finish tomorrow

It's starting to get REALLY exciting!!

THE CABINETS ARE INSTALLED!!  The painters finished up yesterday, which made way for the cabinets to be installed and they look great.  Now they can measure for the countertops, and we can pick up our granite slab.

Trim

They were working on the trim some more today.  They should get mostly all of the trim finished today.  They also finished the stair railing, and the mantle.

Doors

Trimming started today.  That means they started installing the interior doors.  When I got there, they were finishing up with them, and were in the middle of putting in the stair railing going up to the second floor.

They finished texturing the house today.  Next comes the trim and then paint

It's about time

OK, so I have been neglecting the blog, but here's the latest.  The plumbing and electrical got finished on Thursday, and they blew the insulation on Friday.  Then on Monday, the hvac was finishing up a few small things, and they started to sheetrock yesterday.  By the end of the day yesterday, they had finished the 2nd floor.  The siding got finished yesterday also.  Today when I stopped after work, the crew had left as they had all of the sheetrock hung.  There was a stack of boxes of mud in the kitchen. 

All that's left on the front of the house is the stone on the garage, and the installation of the porch pillars
